Sun Moon Lake: Located in the middle of Taiwan, with an elevation of 748 meters above sea level, is the largest freshwater lake on the island, being divided by Lalu Island. Xuanzang Temple: Located in the Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area, this Buddhist temple was built to commemorate the contribution of Monk Xuanzang, the Holy Monk in the Tang Dynasty, to the development of Buddhism, and still enshrines his bone relic.
